Resident Evil 2 began development in 1996 shortly after the original game and was originally scheduled for a March 1997 release. However, as the game was approaching its release date, the developers were unsastified with the resulting product.
Rather than releasing a game they were unhappy with, the developers took the risk of developing the game from scratch. This scrapped version of the game was later dubbed Resident Evil 1.5. By the internal staff of Capcom. This prototype version of the game starred Leon S.
Kennedy from the finished game and Elza Walker, a prototype of Claire Redfield. Like Claire Redfield, Elza was a motorcyclist and college student, with the only difference being her appearance and the fact Elza had no ties to any established character from the previous games. Other supporting characters from the released game also appeared in Resident Evil 1.5. For example, Marving Branagh, a minor character who gets killed off early in the finished game played a major role in the prototype, helping Leon and Ada escape. The settings of the game were also significantly changed, with the police station in the original prototype having a more contemporary design. – info from Wikipedia In early 2013 the beta / prototype version of Resident Evil 1.5 was finally leaked online, and many gamers are now able to check a part of what the game was meant to be.

Xelba According to the person who did a back up review on the prototype, there was a unique feature in the game in which the character’s uniforms are stained with blood after coming in contact with zombies. There are images showing this feature with both characters: Whether this is true or not still makes it an an interesting and cool concept.
In a way this reminds me of Doom 2. The more damage the player took by enemies, the more bloodier the character looked. Its a shame that Resident Evil 1.5 was the only title to have had this feature:(.
The outfit damage did somewhat make it into the final game, at one point Leon gets attacked and his RPD outfit gets ripped and bloodied. He is then patched up with bandages by Claire (I think it was her, it’s been ages since I played it so I can’t remember). I remember reading about the real-time outfit damage in previews and I wondered where it had gone when I finally got the game. Clearly what we did get was a cut-down version of the original idea. Maybe it was confusing to the player to take a herb to heal themselves and yet still see a damaged and bloody outfit?. cameron The thing is Deadpixel99, that team already said the un edited version will be dumped onto the internet once they release there modded final copy.
It was said in the comments on his Halloween teaser. So once that 80% build that is unmodded releases, ANY copy of this on disk will be rendered worthless as anyone can burn a copy or dl it. So karma sucks for the people who do indeed own it, but refused to release it due to greed, as they wanted to wait to sell it one day. Now, its worthless to them once this happens. After The biohazard threat has not ended: Just when it seemed that the menace of Resident Evil had been destroyed, along comes a new terror to send shivers down players' spines. Chris Redfield, returning Resident Evil hero, has followed the path of the evil literally around the globe. After joining a new organization, Chris heads to Africa where the latest bioterrorism threat is literally transforming the people and animals of the city into mindless, maddened creatures.
He is joined by a new partner, Sheva Alomar, who lends her strength, intelligence and sharp-shooting skills to the mission. In order to survive, Chris and Sheva must work together to take on the challenges of discovering the truth behind this evil plot. Utilizing a revolutionary new 2-player co-op mode of gameplay, players assume control of either Chris or Sheva and experience Resident Evil in new ways. In Resident Evil 5, Capcom has players fearing the daylight as much as they have feared shadow in previous games. Resident Evil 5 is the best 2 Player coop game available to this day. Back when Resident Evil 5 was released it set the new standarts for Resident Evil 5 is the best 2 Player coop game available to this day. Back when Resident Evil 5 was released it set the new standarts for great visuals and is even today one of the better looking games.
The movement system stayed true to the amazing STAND+aim system which was introduced with Resident Evil 4. This system is what makes Resident Evil 4 and 5 special.
The Shooting does not become a big unrealistic mess but ends up beeing what a survival horror shooter should be. The feeling of you trying to defend a big horde while having to fall back, trying to hit the headshots to kick staggering enemies just never was the same since resi 5.
The story is also a real deal in the game, the pace is really well done and great cinematics are used regulary. And the most important aspect the overall atmosphere. The African setting is the best thing that happend to the Resident Evil series (excluding Resident Evil 4 setting which was even better). It is a mysterious place full of different areas to explore.
I could tell you many more aspects why this game is my fav game till today but I will just end it here. But one last word: Play this game with a friend its meant to be played together dont be one of these people playing it alone and complaining about anything because they never had the chance to enjoy the real experience. If you want something like Resident Evil 5 (even better) for 1 player. Resident Evil 4. A excellent remaster!
Resident evil 5 remaster is excellent remaster because 60 FPS & 1080 also improvements in design texture and textures A excellent remaster! Resident evil 5 remaster is excellent remaster because 60 FPS & 1080 also improvements in design texture and textures resolution that improved. Also Resident evil 5 have all DLC: Versus - Lost in nightmare - Desperate escape, that all are 19,99$ I do not see any diminish frame in during game.
Last word: Resident evil 5 remaster is a real remaster. Resident Evil 5 is a great co-op action game, but a poor Resident Evil game. It was the first Resident Evil title that I had ever played and I Resident Evil 5 is a great co-op action game, but a poor Resident Evil game. It was the first Resident Evil title that I had ever played and I absolutely loved it. But as I went on to play the older titles, I realized that Resident Evil 5 is not as good as the rest of the series. I don’t mind that it’s co-op or that it’s more of an action game, but the story is over-the-top.
What made the stories of the previous games great was that they were simple and stuck to a few locations. With this game, you’re fighting enemies in the most ridiculous of locations and it bothers me a lot. Resident Evil has never been realistic, but I’d argue that Resident Evil is at it’s best when somewhat grounded in realism. Just enough to take it seriously.
If you’re looking for a solid gameplay with a friend, then this is a great title. If you’re just someone who wants a solid action game, this is probably an 8/10. But when you look at it as a Resident Evil game, I feel that it has to be lowered for going in a direction that most fans did not approve of.
The PS4 version does include all of the DLC and runs at 60 frames per second if you do care about that like I do. You get two DLC missions that should add over an hour of story and extra characters for the Mercenaries. One of the DLC missions is called “Lost in Nightmares”. It goes for that horror feel and I’d argue that the rest of the game should’ve played like it. As a package, I can definitely recommend this version.
